Acting Camp: A Chance to Learn, Perform and Act

Even though some camps specifically concentrate on acting, most acting camp programs for kids, youth and teens are part of a wider summer camp program that includes the general term "Performing Arts".

In Performing arts camps, kids can choose to focus more on acting and theater and make this the main part of their program. In general, campers who desire to concentrate on acting (this can include studying acting and participating in camp musicals, comedies, film and plays) can do so during the camp session. Outside of these distinct summer acting camp programs, many residential camps also have specific programs, however, often these focus more on film. What you will find with these camps is a program that might include: workshops in scene study, monologue and cold reading.
